Goulash. It isn't hamburger and macaroni, despite what people think.
LOL Cindy! I've mentioned this before. In the early 1980's I was invited to dinner at a friend's house and she said she was making goulash. I was expecting a nicely seasoned meat & vegetable stew. It was hamburger and macaroni in tomato sauce. That was the first time I'd ever heard that combination called "goulash".
I wonder if the Chef Boyardee [brand] had called their canned version "goulash" rather than "Beefaroni" if anyone would have bought it? I'm thinking probably not.
