Jamie Oliver did an interesting chocolate oatmeal porridge. It involved
processing processing some large flake oatmeal along with some medjool
dates 2and hazelnuts and adding some cocoa powder orange zest and some
more oatmeal and pulse it together. With most of the oatmeal finely
processed it cooks in a few minutes. Serve hot topped with plain yogurt
and raspberries or banana. I left out the nuts when I made it.
too much foofoo, oatmeal with cocoa is plenty enough for
me and i like texture in my oatmeal so i use thick oats and
cook them a long time to make sure they are done (about 10
minutes total from start to finish).
if someone else made what you described i'd probably try
it and like it, but about zero chance of me ever making it.
i do really like hazelnuts and dates though. :) the dates
are a lot like brown sugar but even better.
