It's not that dusty BTW, the camera just picks it up that way.
You've mentioned having to use the fireplace due to the snow and
cold.
At least the cat hasn't caught on fire. :)

Yes on the heat. Heat pumps suck in 8F-24F which is what we had
for 5 days. I even got an electric bill of 174$ (Aux heat). The
fireplace knocked it down a lot. Today with panels melted off I
pulled 28.9 kwh (more than we use in 24hours in winter) butfor 4
days, got none.
The seller was accurate BTW. He said 1/4 inch would just melt off
but at about 1 inch, it won't get much and over 1 inch, nothing.
So 12 inches, had to wait to melt off and that was today.
Today hit 32kwh which is optimal solar output for this time of year
with shorter days.
Looked to me like you only got cold rain? The breakline kept
shifting about so wasn't sure if you didn't get a little to look
pretty or not.
The temperatures here got down into the 20's at night for a few
nights but the rain had passed by then. It was just cold but warmed
up into the 40's during the day. Today it got up to 62F. Tomorrow
it is supposed to be in the 70's.
Ah, Aux heat may have hit you at night but not in the day then. We are
out of it too now.
Naw, the cat is whiley enough to avoid getting close to the screen.
Most of them are smart enough to avoid that sort of thing. :)
Ayep!
Meantime, I've spent a lot more this year on birdseed.
