Fortified wines last a lot longer.  We use a whole bottle of white
zin in a big batch of spaghetti sauce.  The small tetra-pak of
wine is usually used in its entirety.

 No worries then. Somebody once offered me a glass of white wine and
proudly said it had been opened half a year ago, but had always been
in the fridge since then.
