my parents bought it when i was a kid. i remember slicing half
inch thick pieces off the roll and slathering it with oleo to
eat. then, i enjoyed it. i'll have to add it to the shopping
list and see if my wife can find it to see if i still do.
Boston Brown Bread is what we make variations on
fairly often. it freezes well and lasts in the fridge
a long time too even after slicing. Mom made six small
loaves the other day in between making four gallons of
baked beans (i cook the dry beans she does the rest).
butter only now. oleo got too expensive and full of
added water.
