 I don't mind the maple syrup getting into the bacon, but not the eggs. If I have pancakes on a plate with eggs and bacon I eat the eggs before the syrup goes on. Eggs and syrup in not a good combination IMO.
 

Had that situation with my pancakes this morning.
I make bacon in the oven.  I've seen recipes and such where people do the same, but they sprinkle brown sugar on the bacon. Some day I may try it on a slice or two.  I've seen it dipped in chocolate tool
