Da Hawaiians have close ties with the Chinese so we know

My only evidence is one narrow 'test' I participated in.
That was the final exam of 3rd year 'Physical Mathematics',
a mandatory course for Physics degree majors. It involved
differentials & integrations performed in spherical
coordinate systems.
Most of our courses were the same group of a dozen or so
Physics & occaisionally Chemistry students. PhysMath 3 was
a bit bloated due primarily to Chinese Math students, who
apparently took the course 'just for fun'.
My final mark on the course was a barely passing 50%,
which I shared with about half of the Physics regulars.
We (the regulars) were not that close socially to the
Chinese students, mostly due to the language barrier,
but one of us could speak with them, and he assured us
that there were no such 'bell curving' done on them.
