And you think the left-leaning sites are fair, honest,
and not above twisting the facts?

On the world stage, you have two right wing parties. The right-wing
Democrats and the extreme right-wing Republicans. It's a question of
whether you think extremist viewpoints are more credible than
moderate ones.

My observation is that both ends of the political spectrum show a lot of bias. It is hard enough to get reasonably balanced reporting on the mainstream. There seems to be an overabundance of right leaning nonsense. Fox may deserve a bit of a break because, let's face it, it's not even news. It's just entertainment. It is more of a reality show than reporting.
Up here we have Rebel news pushing some sort of right wing agenda. I recall a story from the early days of the pandemic when we were pretty much locked down. Rebel was pushing a story about some poor sap who was busted for taking his dog out to pee. Their line was that his poor little dog had to do its business so the guy put a leash on it, took it out to pee and then came right back and found two cops at his door.
It turned out there was more to it than that. The guy had just returned from Mexico. The borders had been somewhat opened and people returning to the country were required to quarantine for two weeks. Contrary to the story of excessive zeal by the cops. This is not exactly a high priority issue that would call for lights and sirens. It had taken them some time to get there and then they had a fair wait for him to come back. It was not the first time they had attended because the neighbours had complained multiple times and he had been warned by the cops. So this time, after having to wait for him to get back, they charged him.
Rebel had made it look like some poor guy has slipped out for a minute for his dog to do its business and the cops immediately showed up and charged him. They ommitted the fact that they guy had been travelling, that he had been out for an extended period, that there had been numerous complaints and that the had been warned before. It wasn't a case of some poor guy stepping out for two minutes and then facing the wrath of a tyrannical government.
Rebel News makes Fox look Socialist!
