That's a tad extreme.  I occasionally make a couple of soft boiled (actually closer to medium boiled) eggs and spoon the insides into a coffee mug with butter, S&P, chop it up and eat it with a spoon. Sometimes a bit of shell gets in the cup but that doesn't stop me from eating the eggs. :)
