Ah, but one must admit the 1930's versions of those films starring Johnny Weissmuller as Tarzan and Maureen O'Sullivan as Jane were the best!  They got a little stupid later when "boy" (Johnny Sheffield) came along as a child who was apparently adopted in the middle of a jungle at age 7.  He just sort of showed up because everyone had to pretend Tarzan & Jane never had sex. LOL

Yet Ricky & Lucy managed to reproduce!  So did Ward & June Cleaver.  I wonder if they flipped a coin to decide which bed to use?  We certainly wouldn't want youngsters to get any ideas! LOL

I have to admit that I don't recall how Boy entered into the situation. We are talking more than 60 years back.
 

When it comes to the Weissmuller Tarzan films, closer to 100 years.  If you get a chance to watch them again they were a lot more graphic than post-code films.  In the first few Tarzan films of that era, pre-code, both Tarzan and Jane were practically naked.  As the 1940's film era loomed, people started getting really uptight and the "code" became the norm for what was allowed on screen.
