No no, Ed P's community painted potatoes this year. Those round red potatoes can do the trick.
Mashed Potatoes
Peel Potatoes. Slice potatoes into half inch discs and then put in saucepan and cover with water. Boil for 20 minutes.
Pour out the water and use a potato masher on the potatoes. Don't overdo the mashing because it's haut couture to leave solid potato pieces in the mashed potatoes.
Add butter and buttermilk gravy.
