  there's not been a really good LOTR movie in any
form, but i do like the music from the PJ movies to
a large extent (mainly from the first three that
they did).  to the extent that the PJ movies got
people to go read the books i do approve entirely.
i wonder how many people came away with that
experience happy or what - though i'm pretty sure a
lot of the gamer types who weren't into reading
likely didn't much like the books in comparison.

  JRRT wrote for readers and for the use of
imagination that is quite a different thing than a
screenplay.  too bad he didn't live long enough to
see them and comment...
