  Perhaps.... but as things stand in this country, they are not the people who are causing problems. The vast majority of shootings and murders are in  a small number of demographics, and they are not the legally licensed gun owners. They are the demographics that our government likes to refer to as racialized and want to reduce impose reduced sentences on.  Some say they are over represented in the criminal justice system. Some of us see them and being over represented in criminal incidents.
