What's coming out of your kitchen this Thursday evening?
Sandwiches, full meal prep, grilling, or finishing off
some leftovers?

It's going to fire roasted tomato soup here. I'm
anxious to see if it's going to be better than my
favorite whole tomato recipe blended with a stick
blender after simmering. Ingredients are the same,
with the tomatoes being the only difference and
there's just enough heavy cream left to make it
super rich.

Had a snack at about 3 and now not hungry enough to cook.
With my snack was a bourbon as a tribute to a friend that
passed away 13 years ago today. Long story there.

I'm going to make a salad and have some crackers and cheese

About 8PM I take a couple of pills and will have some ice cream.

Rare I have a drink in the afternoon but today was special. Bill
was a good friend but I was really closer to his wife Joan that
remains my best friend. We go back about 47 years. I texted
her this morning, of course.

Sheldon would never understand our friendship. I'll be spending
a week with her again soon. It will be on the beach at Ocean
City NJ.

Sheldon rarely understood anything. I think it's great you are
still friends with her all these years later.

Talked to her yesterday and now have the dates to visit soon. I go
once or twice a year, usually at the shore home. Long drive so
usually 7 to 10 days stay. Sometimes I extend it and go up to CT and
visit old friends there too.
Meeting once a year at a retreat vacation rental.
