I don't think I have seen imitation lobster where I shop. I will look
harder. A couple of ounces of industrially processed lox costs eight
bucks which covers the four important sides of two bagels, mostly.
Gravlax is way cheaper if one makes it themselves. But...there's work
involved.
It's ok, it's not common where I shop. Imitation Crab works just as
well and frankly, tastes almost the same and is more often on the
refrigerated shelves. You can get it in large flakes or sticks. It's
reformed 'white fish'. I believe the name is surinami or suriname.
