Just saw that Tennessee had a 4.1 earthquake. I never experienced one but sounds like fun if you don't get any damage.
Um... Joan is in Nashville. Knoxville is in east TN. I hope she didn't have any problems but somehow I doubt it.
Just for fun, there was an earthquake when I was a teenager in Memphis. Memphis is on the west side of the state and is right on the New Madrid fault line that runs from Marked Tree Arkansas up to Illinois. There was a quake back in 1976. My maternal grandmother had just died so my mother was out of town to attend her funeral. It was just me and my father in the house. I was in my bedroom, reading a book, when the bedside lamp started swaying back and forth. I got up and walked to the bedroom door and felt a jolt and the ground rumbled. I went to the living room and my father said "Pack a bag, we might have to leave." My 16 year old self said "And go where?" Seriously. Where did he think we were going to go? Nowhere. He got on the phone with Mom and told her we had an earthquake. She thought he was joking. I think there were a few little aftershocks but we didn't feel them. The epicenter was about 300 miles north.
I'm sure Joan will let us know if she's okay. And if she's actually making Shake & Bake chicken for dinner. :)
