  Your entire island chain is volcanic. I'm surprised that you don't feel
quakes once a month. It has always taken me a few seconds, to register
what's happening, before I react.

They are a different Type of volcano to those around the Ring Of Fire,
where major quakes are prevalent due to subduction of plates. There are
only minor rumblings when the lava chambers are filling etc.
