These islands are on a big conveyor belt headed towards Japan at a
velocity of 3.5" a year. We'll never reach Japan though. My island,
Oahu, will have probably eroded away to a tiny coral atoll long before
we get halfway there. This could have a disastrous effect on real estate
prices.
It may not happen in your life time but it could happen eventually.
There is an island at the north end of the Canadian province of Nova
Scotia, Cape Breton. There is a causeway that connects it to the rest
of the province and I always assumed there had been a geological event
that separated it from the rest of the province. When I vacationed there
I attended a presentation that explained how it had arrived there. It
had not split from the Canadian mainland. It had split from somewhere in
the UK and migrated across the Atlantic Ocean.
There's a lot of odd things going on in this world. The Giant's
Causeway, for instance. Some people swear that it's a natural formation
but anybody with half a brain can tell that those black rectangular
blocks could only have come from an intelligent being. Well, a
semi-intelligent one anyway.
Are you saying a Trump voter made them?
