We've never had a use for an automatic rice cooker. As seldom as we
cook rice, a pot on the stove suffices.
It's easy enough to cook rice as needed on the stove top. Some people have mentioned keeping cooked rice warm in a rice cooker for hours, if not days. Sorry, but keeping food "warm" in a rice cooker for hours is a breeding ground for food poisoning.
