Like corn, Bruce also seems to have something against people eating asparagus.  Steamed, roasted, whatever.  Corn and asparagus.  Two things he disparages on a regular basis.  Unless, of course, we're talking about white asparagus which he seems to think no one in North America has ever heard of or eaten.
