The Thursday night special is different every week. Their rotation
includes cheese and spinach canelloni and manacotti. Last week's was
breaded pork. Sometimes it is lasagna. Occasionally it is meatballs and
pasta but the meatballs have been disappointing so I pass on them.

I did something risky tonight. I had an Uncle Ben's rice, cheddar and
broccoli. The instructions say to heat it for 90 seconds in the
microwave.

My microwave does not have a 90 second setting so I'd have to repeat the
30 second a few times. Instead of all of that, I used a minute and a
half instead. Amazing, could not tell the difference.

I should have been a scientist.
So you have Uncle (how Hawaiian) Ben's rice prepared in the microwave.
And you say that you don't like rice very much. Now that we have the
complete picture, that's very understandable.
This has enough additives to mask the bland white rice. Nice change a couple of times a year, easy too.
