Just finished making 5 lbs redcurrant jelly, delicious with hot or
cold pork, poultry or ham.
i think the current jelly is what i would consider the
"red filling" flavor used for raised donuts and if so that
is also what i consider the default non-flavor i really
don't like much at all - but then association with raised
donuts would do it in for me anyways.
Our cherry tree is laden; more than the birds can steal :-) first
cherry pie is being planned. Cherry jam, cherry cake... never had to
deal with a glut of cherries before.
yum if they are tart kinds - the other sweeter cherries
are ok and edible to me but but what i would use for pies
or jams.
