https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpMyE3KHV5gWigmore Hall performance of Mozart's B flat string quartet K589, by the
Schubert Quartet (it's a little confusing to name your string quartet
after a string quartet composer, but never mind).
It's the piece with the extended cello solo in the 2nd movement,
intended for the Kind of Prussia, a cello amateur. The socalled Prussian
quartets are among Mozart's very best.
They play with short classical era bows. The violist Teresa Schwamm is
excellent, she just has this annoying way of holding her instrument like
a beard (straight ahead). However it doesn't hurt her playing.
