The Jewish conductor Bruno Walter was listed as a non-Jewish musician that left Nazi Germany for political reasons, from BBC Music Magazine, February issue page 39 "the escapees".
What a relief! But not for Jewish collectors, who will have to decide whether to throw out their Walter recordings, so the box sets might come up cheap used, the ones that aren't ceremonially burned.
The article was typical hand-wringing about the conductor Furtwangler, trying to calculate what percentage of evil and how much he is pro-Jewish, since Jewish politics are considered to be the only thing important in music.
