Same style. Klemperer never changed his approach
to any work he kondukted.

Make sure you listen to the third movement,
with the scratchy violin playing; it's very
expressive, and the gorgeous melodic phrases
deserve Klemperer's solemn treatment. The
final movement is also very dignified.

Why bother? "Dignity" and "seriousness" kill art!

Nevertheless, if I were to explore more recordings
of the Brandenburg Concertos, I would probably go
in the direction of HIP or at least 'HIP-influenced'
(Abbado/Orchestra Mozart, Chailly/Gewandhaus Leipzig).
