You got that right, Jack! And the new, "re-imagined" (or something)
Newsom podcast? Dreadful to observe.
I hope you realize DOGE will cut all
funding for Wagner and Bruckner! ;-)

Wagner and Bruckner??? They're DEAD!

Why are they on the federal payroll? Call in DOGE at once!
Lolz. Good one. I chuckled. Saw Dudamel's Mahler 5 w/ LA Phil last week.
It was . . . well-played, rousing, and . . . superficial. I thought so,
anyway. One man's opinion (who has seen the Dude in concert over 25
times going back 17 years).
Re Wagner, I ordered the Solti Japan SACDs (with the green coating on
play side!! yes, they're still doing that) of the Wagner Ring, Dutchman,
and Tannhäuser. I just gave in to the sickness, after months of casually
browsing. I know folx on the Steve Hoffman board say the new digital
versions are clipped, but these are new transfers. All previous
reissues, between 1997 and 2022, used the 1996/97 Jimmy Lock transfers,
effected for Decca. Tom Deacon, may G_D rest his soul, would testify to
this.
Have a great weekend. I am now headed to Amoeba Music Hollywood to buy
some John Cage ceedees. Sounds like fun!
