On the basis of 'naive listening' (without knowing anything about background and context) I tend to agree with the positive opinions expressed in the forum (many years ago) about RIccardo Chailly's _Jazz Album_ (Concertgebouw Orchestra, 1993), _Dance Album_ (Philadelphia Orchestra 1996), and _Film Album_ (Concertgebouw Orchestra 1999), all with music by Shostakovich. Good stuff, beautifully played, in excellent sound. Is it right to call this 'entertaining', 'light' music? I'm not sure.
