So I picked up at a thrift store recently a 4 LP set
of Liszt played by Pierre Pradier. It was unwrapped
and still had a Tower Records sticker price of 15.99.
I paid 3.

I mean it was unused, it was wrapped with the

Does this set have any merites
besides saving you 12.99 dollars?

Pierre's Pradier recordings are
on YouTube and can be downloaded
for free.

You're wrong as usual when you say youtube
has everything, it's incomplete, and doesn't
have all the tracks from the 4 LPs.

I did not claim YT has "everything".
Your reading and comprehension skills
are incredibly low, even for librarians.
Read again what I wrote.

Otherwise, Mr. Pradier's recordings
raise doubts about the value of
owning or hearing them. There
are very good reasons why he
is not better known.

I sampled a few of the recordings.
To my ears they sound as pluted as
anything I've ever heard. They are
extremely heavy handed, mechanical
and metronomic. The sound is harsher
than hammered sandpaper. They also
show symptoms of Arrauthritis.
Great find, Pluted!
Cheers!
