This is better than "Don't Let GO?"  SHOCKING!
This song wound up in the repertoire of several UK groups of the time
which you probably like such as Gerry & The Pacemakers,Bern Elliott &
Fenmen, Brian Poole & Tremeloes etc but Orlando did it first. Like ir a
lot back then and nowt has altered since

Did not know this, it's just okay, and is the same song as this:

I wasn't aware of the striking similarity to the Frankie song here but
in this instance I have to bow to your much superior knowledge of all
things Avalon

10. Have You Ever Had The Blues Erma Franklin - 1963

I always liked this one tho I'd be first to say that it's certainly no
"Piece Of My Heart"

14. Blue Moon Bobby Vinton – 1963

WTF, this is dire as hell. And I had no idea that you liked that movie.
You must really love it to even like this putrid thing.
I thought you liked his "Roses Are Red"? Now the word "putrid" was
coined especially for that one. OTOH Vinton does better with his "Blue
Moon" (tho there are several better versions out there of course). But
it opens the movie I mentioned perfectly.
And since I'm a HUGE all-era horror movie fan why in the world would I
not like that movie?

25. It’s Over Erma Franklin – 1961

The usual as major labels have no idea what to do with voices like this.
As I said,it's no "Piece Of My Heart" but I still like some of her
earlier offerings

Sorry, pal, but we are worlds apart on Epic. My list will have lots of
post 1963 stuff, but we even disagree on the 1963 and back stuff. Let's
see what I have.

Here are the items on Epic from my all time top 1025.

343 ¦ Glad All Over ¦ Dave Clark 5 - 63
378 ¦ Can't You See That She's Mine ¦ Dave Clark 5 - 64
434 ¦ Bits And Pieces ¦ Dave Clark 5 - 64
Mind numbing crash bang wallop stuff that would NEVER get near a
turntable (or a YT clip) of mine

697 ¦ Family Affair ¦ Sly and the Family Stone - 71
The one Sly & Co listed here I like. Don't care for the others

844 ¦ Sunshine Superman ¦ Donovan - 66
Tenth rate Dylan wannabe
