Pretty well everyone seems to include "Shirley Lee" (from Ricky's second
LP released in 1958) among his best recordings. I'm certainly one of the
fans of that song and whilst I think Bobby Lee Trammell's original on
Fabor is the better version Ricky certainly deserves that place on
peoples fave lists with his excellent reading
