I sense that most of those who still read and post to them are getting
old, and will soon be gone as well.
Even the binary groups (such as

of traffic any more. Some go for weeks, months, without a post.
A sign of the changing times.
Usenet will live on, but in a declining and perhaps (finally) a "state
of suspension".
Until the servers are simply switched off...
