Important Update: We have received a great response to the bulletin about
the RAC Auxiliary Communications (Aux-C) Communicator Course that was iss
ued on August 23. Thank you for your feedback and your questions. Here is
 some additional information.

Radio Amateurs of Canada is actively engaging in discussions with various
Emergency Management Agencies and non-governmental organizations to facil
itate future training programs in Canadian provinces and territories. Thes
e initiatives have the potential to significantly enhance our emergency co
mmunication capabilities.

RAC has secured funding within the Province of Ontario to initiate a pilot
program in this region. The course which is being scheduled to take place
in Sudbury on September 7 and September 8 is a pilot course that will be
used to help us develop courses in other regions if our discussions in ar
e successful.

RAC will ensure timely notifications are sent to the targeted areas and th
at the RAC website is continuously updated to reflect these developments.
