HF newsreaders are required to join our current panel of newsreaders
for the weekly Sunday morning 40m and 80m IRTS news bulletins. There is
very little involved in reading a bulletin and no experience is
necessary. If any licensed IRTS member living in EI feels like that
they would be interested in becoming part of the IRTS newsreaders panel
or if you require more information, please get in touch with the IRTS
News Coordinator Seany EI2HZB by phone on 083 4713001 or via email to
irts_pro /at/ irts.ie
A news bulletin on the 4-meter band is being provided by the Patriot
Radio Communications Club EI7PRC based in Watergrasshill in Cork. This
bulletin is transmitted at 8 p.m. local time on Sunday evenings on
70.350 MHz FM simplex. It is on a trial basis so if you can receive it,
please call in and support it.

The aim to bring novice and experienced people together in one place
along with a very wide array of amateur radio equipment, technologies,
and experience. From solo operators to clubs, we would like to extend a
welcome to all. You are invited to come along and learn via hands-on
practical tutorials that you can take part in or bring your
radio-related gear to show others how to set it up correctly. Camping
and campervan parking is available and encouraged.
We are encouraging involvement from as many clubs and operators as
possible. Please contact the team as soon as possible via email to
hamfest /at/ irts.ie with proposals for demonstrations and practical
tutorials that you or your club would like to provide.
The next IRTS committee meeting will take place on Thursday, June 5th
at 8 p.m. on the Zoom platform. All IRTS affiliated clubs are reminded
that under Rule 16.1, the members in each affiliated club, society, or
other body may elect a representative and an alternate annually to
attend IRTS committee meetings. Clubs wishing to send a representative
