The Parker Solar Probe made its closest approach to the
Sun yet, diving well within the sun's corona. The corona
is much hotter than the surface of the sun, with a
temperature up to 3.5 million degrees, but the gas is so
tenuous that the heat transfer is within what normal matter
can withstand for the limited time the probe was in it.
