I see, but it scares me a little for all of this other code to be in there.

 
Try to compile (at a later date) with Go's fyne toolkit[1] and for now
use the provided Windows binary, I posted in the URL before.
 
And for the CLI version just cd into the folder and then
do: go build -ldflags "-s -w" which then produces an .exe of the
CLI version of minicrypt.

I have updated the GUI version, by shortining the error messages,
so that they do not stretch the GUI horizontally, in some cases.

You should re-download the code and compile again.
