He was tiptoeing, but saying that we have two candidates, one of which
is (at least partly) black and yet has achieved the 2nd highest level
in the US Government, the other of which does not support the various
(populist) policies that will help people just like you, and does not
respect people like you either, and yet you are edging towards the
disrespectful candidate.  And then asks if this is just because the VP
is a woman. 

To which many brothers agreed that that was a major factor.  And Obama
tongue-lashed them and told the brothers to just vote for her, because
she wants what you all want, and the other candidate is against what
you want, etc.

Either way, he's saying that the most important thing in this election
is skin color.

It isn't purely because she's black, it's the populist handouts as
well.  But the female versus black seems the bigger issue.

 The anglo and asian worker-guys who hear his message
might decide to agree.

Yes, and they are a slightly larger fraction of the US population.
