Saw one of these today:

 Thought I'd buy four or five of them to use in the office
(size, function, etc.).  Not designed to be mounted
upside down but I could take a file to them...
And, yet another that ALMOST gets things right:

But, no outlet on the back side (because of the power cord)
into which you could plug <whatever> was unplugged to accomodate
THIS device!
Amusing how few outlet strips fail to accommodate multiple
wall warts IN ADJACENT RECEPTACLES!  I rescued one of these:
<https://www.telephoneman.com/surgegate-m8ksu-60-surge-suppression/>
which nicely accommodates 8 "spaced" outlets with the bodies
of the wall warts oriented practically.  But, it's way too big for
most uses (I need something 6x6x3.5 including the charger)
This one might work:
<https://www.truegether.com/cube-power-strips-with-surge-protection-10ft-extension-cord-with-multiple-outlets-5-ac-plugs-4-usb-power-strip-with-usb-ports-on-off-switch-surge-protector-outlet-extender-charging-station/USER.f7cefc37-0f41-42be-b22b-3e1e89b12aa5/listing.html>
But I'm not sure I would plug the ~1KW load into it (whose outlet has
been "reappropriated" for this).  OTOH, it's short enough (just barely)
to fit into the space I have available!  (would be nice if it was a higher
charging capacity, per port  :<  )
