Most government employees are useless or worse.

But if we fire them, they will just join the existing mob of useless drones, so maybe not much will change.

If it did John Larkin would only notice if his favourite propaganda sources told him that it had. The US education system does seem to churn out a lot of gullible suckers, and Trump does seem to want to make sure that it doesn't get improved by any Federal government intervention.
