seems to suggest that a powerwall save A$3000 a year, but the initial
cost is A$20000. Doesn't that make the payback time 6 - 7 years rather
than just a couple?

Seems to me that utilities can store energy more efficiently than
individuals can in their garage.

Same for solar panels.
