Yes! The presenter on RNZ Concert FM mentioned it this morning, and then played Monti's _Csárdás_. I'm not sure that strictly qualifies, but I was glad to hear about the day.

Crystal recommends a document called "What Is The Romani Language?", from the Centre de recherches tsiganes at the Université René Descartes and the University of Hertfordshire. I don't think I managed to find that online, but the Council of Europe has a lot of information here:
