China, by the way, is no ally of Iran. They, TWO TIMES, signed agreements with Arab countries of the Persian Gulf in which a few Persian Gulf islands that are part of Iran were stated to belong to those Arab countries. Two times, not once! Each time, Iran aside from making them pay for that, called the Chinese ambassador forward and explained and stated that the islands belong to Iran and have belonged to Iran since the dawn of the civilization, and the ambassador simply answered that it was their policy to do so and they had no plan to change that either. So China to Iran is like coworkers with Iran. One that doesn't mind fucking with Iran too. Two times so far!
This is related to a fact that I've expressed before in my blogs a few times. I think China is still inexperienced. Sure, they finished their "100 year plan" successfully and removed poverty from their country, and have such and such military power and technology and economy. But that's not equal to experience. For "experience", they need to study Iran deeply.
They easily fell victim to Nazis trick via their Bitch little countries in the Persian Gulf. Those three islands. It was a blunder as a blunder can be. Nazis knew what they were doing; China didn't. And they made that same mistake two times over.
Relatively speaking, they're utterly inexperienced, yet they think they can go around the world and do to little countries anything that's their "policy" (read that their "dick's wish") dictates . They've this far lost huge opportunities of investment in Iran, and have already begun bleeding by paying higher prices to Arabs, and spending part of their navy trying to defend their cargo ships on the way to Israel, unsuccessfully. And as we speak, they're losing another huge deal related to electric and other cars with Iran. All because they could not defend themselves against Nazis' tricks. They didn't have the experience needed to avoid such blunders.
And generally inexperience, when you place it inside a Black Box, looks from outside just like being stupid. Power in stupid people's hands, is not power that's necessarily theirs. They'll easily get fooled by those who're not stupid. Look what Jews have done with Americans. Americans are stupid for other reasons. They're stupid at the gene level, so even experience does not help them. But they're just like China acting like stupid people do. So all that power could not protect them against Jews. Jews today really rule over them.
This does not mean one bit that Iran is not seeking investments from China and is not cooperating with them in BRICS and SCO decisions. Quite the opposite, Iran has always been pressing to attract Chinese investments. But here the culprit isn't China, but Iranians themselves.
The potentials with China which heads of Iran's government opened up for Iran are not met yet, because some of the Iranians in charge do not yet want to get Iran into long-term plans with China, and Chinese exactly want long-term plans and almost nothing else before investing their money into other infrastructures. China has begun their second 100-year plan and they want long-term plans to avoid nonsensical issues that a particular time in the world can bring up out of nowhere about their plans. Some Iranians still hesitate this.
Saudis by the way didn't hesitate and got themselves into long-term plans with China. But Saudi's aren't the one under sanctions and destructive Nazi measures toward them. Iran is.
China has noticed that too, and has even mentioned that Iran needs to first settle the internal debate before coming forward to get herself involved with China at the investment level.
Remember that one of the mottoes of Iran which is still in effect is, "No to West, No to East".
But if Iran wants to have the potentials with China get realized, she needs to say Yes to China and get into long-term plans with them.
Not that Iran didn't try. On paper, yes, Iran made a 25-year plan with China, but before even taking the first steps in it, soon hit huge resentment with some Iranians who claimed, "Iran has sold herself to China!". So I think that motto of "No to West, no to East" is now outdated and the "East" in it needs to get retired. Otherwise the super important opportunities with China will not get fully exploited.
I think China hates to be just an alternative for other countries to get into trades with them. Iranians have used China's present as an alternative, so far, and in every administration. That Motto is the culprit. That attitude as well as practice, needs to change, if Iran wants long term plans with China. Funny that Iran did get into long-term plans with France (automobiles) but not China! And paid for doing so too when France left Iran in cold later. But with China, a country that _insists_ to make long-term plans, Iran has been hesitant. This matter must be resolved.
Iran's opportunities with China involves much more than mere trade between the two nations. China wants much more, a precise plan, and a long term one for that. Iran has been dealing with China at the rock bottom level of simple trade, and only for the time being, and only for items she needs. This isn't "investment in Iran" for China.
Pezeshkian may go for changing that! And I can say right now if he does, he'll meet stiff resistance to it. If he can pull this off, I'd say this would be an important achievement, because Iran should not place China where Nazis are. There's a solid difference between the two.
Raisi's admin did after all do nothing but preparing the framework for doing so. So Pezeshkian may use that framework and get that matter done.
Another big hurdle is that Pezeshkian may have become the president of Iran, but for only 16 million of Iranians who voted for him!... The other 70 million didn't vote for him. So I don't think modifying that motto is anything simple to do. He may fail to get those plans reach the execution phase. Just like the present stagnant 25 year plan with China.
And China's siding with those Arab nations of Persian Gulf regarding the islands didn't help this matter one bit. In fact it proved their points!
So good luck with Pezeshkian.
