What did I say!... An Arab channel (also two Iran channels) is saying the USA yesterday asked Iran via their usual intermediaries to allow Israel to save face by performing some sort of attack inside Iran. I'm not kidding. Iran turned it down though, today.
It's obvious why. It's too late. If I know that, Arabs know that already. It would do nothing to help Israeli government be what it was just a week ago.
On the other hand, VOA (a U.S. government run Persian news service) conducted a poll among its listeners (mostly anti-Iranian Iranians) and deliberately separated the choices of Iran's government and Iran's people, to ask who would hurt more if Iranian-Israeli war continues. This is the result from the horse's own mouth:
Iran's government 12%
Iran's people 24%
Israel 64%
So reality even seeps through fiercest anti-Iranian nutcases.
And another very interesting piece of news. Saudis announced today that they participated in the cooperation of USA, France, Britain, Jordan and the rest of the coalition to help Israel in that operation... :-)
You know what that means, don't you :) As I said, they were the likeliest ones who paid for Iran's expenses in that operation, which was negligible anyway. That's how Arabs are. They're too polite and conservative to be open. They probably paid a few $millions to Israelis as well, so they could make this claim real. They're also pretending to have closed their eyes on Israeli government's exposed vulnerabilities. Kind of saying, "We know that but don't worry about it now."
If you ask me, this is yet one more evidence that it's too late to remedy the situation for Israeli government. What's gone is gone.
Iran's extent of tests performed is impressive. They deliberately allowed two weeks of warming before attack, and three full days of saying "we will hit within 72 hours", to maximize the extent of defense that Israeli military could arrange for itself by their own and by getting help from other. This only says one thing. Iran wanted to conduct many tests for the worst case scenario. And they did.
Amazing, that everything Iranians do is multi-faceted, and you and Israel can only "bomb." I hope you understand this one day :)
Iran detained one more Israeli ship today.
