Nope.  The end of the Medieval period is also known as the Renaissance
which began in the 15th century, i.e. 1400's.

The Renaissance predates modern science but it includes the development
of perspective geometry which is fundamental to modern computer graphics.

The Renaissance also resulted in the fucked up female human being
which aided in preserving cats as a substitute for giving birth.

For neurotic women today, as back then, a cat is a substitute child.
