On CBC News Network today I saw the independent indigenous
Australian senator?s protest to Prince Charles against colonialism
and demanding return of land rights and a treaty, and it drew
a wee bit of tears in me. But of course here in Newfoundland
settlers, I guess possibly including some of my ancestors,
are guilty for the genocide of the Beothuk people.
Just a reminder, he is now King Charles III.
