Something is very wrong in the US.
A cheaper dollar would solve a lot of US power.
However, cheaper US dollar is currently not considered because expensive
dollar is somewhat structural. Any hint of lower dollar exchange rate
would prompt many who currently holding dollar assets to sell. This in
turn would force the interest rate up. Without which US could not
possibly continue its deficit spending. Higher interest then increases
the dollar exchange rate.
Nevertheless, the US government still needs polices to preclude high
food inflation in a sudden. High egg price at present may be a prelude.
