Someone wrote to this ... "Moshiach, it will be a challenge to accept.
He will face many detractors, and will ask a lot of us."

I think you already set yourselves up for failure. You think it is about a
person. Is the Torah about Moshe Rabbeinu ? Does it matter what the shape
of his chin was ? How long where his arms ? How fast could he run, and was
he talking a lot or not so much ? Is this what it is all about ? Did he
have many friends, and what was his favorite dish, if any ? Did he drink
a lot, or not so much (I mean water). What color of clothes did he wear.

Was the 10 words saying something like:
- This is Moshe Rabbeinu, that is his name.
- He is wearing something of Earthy tones.
- His sandals are made from cow leather (I merely make something up here,
  to lilustrate).
- Be like him, also wear cow leather sandals.
- Drink about 4 pints of water a day, just like Moshe Rabbeinu.

Is that what it is all about ? Obviously not. It is about what laws to
follow, what is good, and what to do with important issues such as land
ownership, money, work, the basics of a family, war, etc.

However, this is how people think about 'moshiach', it is only about the
person and "will we or will we not accept THE PERSON". That's redicilulous
and shameful, it is also idoltary and just all around stupid. It is about
how to live, and much of that you can make up for yourself, like do you
prefer bagels or cookies, fish or meat, soup of bread, or all of it. Do
you want to be a fisherman, a farmer, working with wood, a mucisian,
or all of it, something else, etc. Do you want to marry this or that
person. Some things though, you can not make up, if you want to be a
good person, and that is what the Torah is about. For example, you are
not going to be a bandit in the woods, to kill people for their money
(extreme example). You are also going to give loans without interest to
the poor if you are Jewish, and nullify these loans in the 7th year.

People are looking apparently for another human King, another dictator,
to idolize and worship that person, to talk all day about what pants color
he chose that day, or search high and low to get the same shoes. How about
we all start riding donkeys (hmm... donkey racing could be interesting
though, lol). See, writing like this, people don't want it, because
they are mindless. Nothing going on in the upper chamber. A hollow drum
filled with some emotions about their social interactions as of late,
and usually nothing much more. A vacuum, without arguments, without logic,
without care.

They want another human King. They want the BOSS aspect of Moshe Rabbeinu,
so to say, but not the Torah aspect, the _truth and Justice_ aspect,
the *law* aspect, which is far more important and long lasting. In this
way you have set yourselve already up for failure, because you are merely
looking for someone to subjugate yourselves to, to idolize, someone like
the Roman Emperor or some high ranking General in some army. A BOSS,
an alpha Baboon with stripes on his jacket, a super man who will kill
your enemies for you, and accidentally drop sacks of gold every morning
at your doorstep, so you can feast and call it heaven.

You don't want to hear about important laws which are broken by the
Jewish people, such as the mentioned interest free loans, to be forgiven
in the 7th year. Truth is of no interest, no worse: who dares to come up
with "the truth" is merely a nuisance, because in the hollow vacuum of
a mindless everything boils down to little more than the screaching of
animals against each other, without apparent cause or reason, let alone
something you should try to understand. All the focus is constantly
going to the _person_ of 'moshiach'.

Therefore I think, this generation is basically over, it's lost. The
Redemption cannot happen with these people. They are idolators and don't
care, they want a return of the Empire of Power and domination. Look,
they already have their pizza and their icecream, their lives are
already perfect. What do they care about wars and rising corruption,
insane financial policies and most people basically living a life of
slavery ? They have a car. There is nothing more to say after that. The
car is the treasure of their lives. All they need is for someone to give
them a stamp of approval that they are doing wonderful and everything
is fine forever now. They are looking for someone who will give them
that stamp, someone like Hillel the Elder or Rambam / Maimonides, who
gave their stamp to law breaking in their day (prosbul, heter iska),
and have been revered and idolized for it ever since.

This is what they call 'moshiach' and that is what they call
'Redemption'. Whatever they do will be stamped as just fine, keep doing
it, and now they don't even have to think about anything anymore either,
because their _super man_ will solve all their problems for them. This
is their goal, they made their choices. The consequences will probably
be ... deadly, 7 times worse than 80 years ago to be exact, if we go by
the Torah.
