Sunscreen? Who knows. Probable lounging on the bathroom counter, basking
in on its own usefulness.
Wasted lunch? Not even a thought. The only thing filling the stomach is
regret - and a gas station coffee stain stretching across crisp white
pants like an abstract work of bad decisions.
Another showing, another forced smile. The clock ticks forward, dragging
the weight of back-to-back appointments along with it.
The heart picks up speed as the highway turns into a parking lot. Trying
to mix mindfulness into this chaos?
Might as well plan a trip to Mars.
The wake-up call
Funny thing - I teach mindfulness. Lead retreats. Coach others on how to
stay centered when life spins out of control. Meditation has been part
of my life for years.
And there I was, swept up in the chaos instead of prepared for it.
Preaching balance but living the storm. It's the thing to build before
it hits.
Wellness Tips
The 5-Minute Reset
Balance doesn't simply happen; it is crafted as a good loaf of
sourdough. And it starts before the chaos hits. A simple 5-minute
breathwork reset can slow the heart, clear the mind, and shift the whole
day.
Try this:
Before stepping into the madness, take five deep breaths - slow in,
slower out.
Let the exhale stretch longer than the inhale. Feel the shift. That's
the body taking back control.
Even though you had mindfulness handled only to get caught in the chaos?
Hit reply and tell me - what throws you off balance the most?
Keep breathing,
