Over 600 bald eagles are known (by necropsy) to have died of avian flu. Dozens more nests unattended or abandoned in a study area in northern Michigan, home to one of the densest populations of eagles in the US.
Anecdotally, the birding groups I read on Facebook were filled this migration season with reports of dead birds, often shorebirds, ducks, or seabirds, found along shorelines (probably because they're easiest to spot on the beach). Some beaches were closed by state game departments because there were so many dead birds.
