Milo Rossi aka Miniminuteman provides a 38-minute review how
pseudoscience pipelines turn into anti-intellectual rabbit holes that
lead to religious cults, hate groups and social instability:

You're not a professional. You're not an authority. You are
literally "Arguing" that you need to shut your goddamn pie
hole. You do.
Nope. What you  /Really/  mean is that the people who don't
walk in step with you need to be silenced...
"Ancient Apocalypse" has been debunked more often than another
famous Netflix Mockumentary:  Cleopatra.
His introduction of cults & hate groups is a red flag.
He's educated. He knows what he is doing. He's associating
people he doesn't like with some VERY bad things.
He's soliciting, even provoking an emotional reaction from
the viewer.
He's manipulating people!
Literally.
Again, he's educated. He knows what he is doing.
"I want to believe."
That's just nonsense.
As I've always pointed out:  The best skeptics, the only
real skeptics want it to be true!  The rest are mindless
naysayers. BECAUSE you have to want it to be true in order
to bother. To investigate.
People are not machines. Ultimately we are motivated by
our emotions. We LIKE certain subjects. We LIKE them. And
there's other subjects which we lack any emotional appeal
for.
This is why we needed science in the first place!
Science exist to eliminate the human element.
"Skeptic" describes a person:  The human element.
To pretend that skeptics don't WANT something to be true or
not is to deny humanity.
SCIENCE IS A RECOGNITION OF THE HUMAN ELEMENT!
It is literally a response to the human element. BECAUSE we
are humans, BECAUSE we have biases, emotions we need a
process specifically created to remove all that.
If SCIENCE can recognize the goddamn obvious, if SCIENCE
exist for the very reason that there is the human element,
why the fuck would anyone advocate any solution that denies
this?
People suck. Even if they have a degree in a subject. They're
still people. They're still flawed. They're still biased.
They still respond to the world with emotions.
