Is the ID scam cutting edge science?

The ID perps have this creationist news article up on their web site.  I do not recall ever hearing about Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying ("well-known evolutionary biologists") but Weinstein obviously can't distinguish between god-of-the-gaps denial from cutting edge science.
It is true that the ID perps concentrate their efforts on the limits of our scientific understanding, and so are usually obfuscating and denigrating what exists of those known limits, but as Weinstein himself notes they are only doing it to fill the gaps with their religious beliefs.  The ID perps are dealing with the limits of our scientific understanding in order to claim that we will never be able to fill those gaps.  Real scientists are dealing with the limits of our understanding of nature as best that they can in order to try to expand our scientific understanding further into the gaps.  Behe made the claim long ago that ID could be used to stop further investigation into the evolution of things like the flagellum because if god-did-it was the answer, trying to find a natural explanation would be a waste of time.  Really, his only use for the ID scam was that it would end scientific investigation into the subjects.  As sad as it may seem the ID scam survives because they have never accomplished any ID science and all the other god-did-it explanations have had a 100% failure rate throughout the history of our investigation of nature.  Like the current ID scam junk, the past god-did-it explanations have never been testable, but we have had to do the hard work to figure out what actually happened or is currently occurring in order to claim god-did-it as a failure.
Obfuscation and denial of the limits of our understanding of nature does not make the ID scam cutting edge science.  The TO IDiot's response to the Top Six god-of-the-gaps cutting edge "science" should tell anyone that the ID preps have no intention of doing any legitimate science to fill those gaps.  The god that fills the Top Six gaps is not the Biblical designer.  All the IDiots except Nyikos and Glenn quit supporting the ID scam rather than deal honestly with the Top Six best evidences for ID.  Glenn has just tried to remain willfully ignorant of them, and Nykios tried to pretend that ID was still legitimate even after destroying his stupid ploy of using space aliens to try to claim legitimacy for the ID scam.  Really, when Nyikos realized that I had not badgered Kalk, Bill and Pagano to quit supporting the ID scam with some stupid refutation of the Top Six, he had to deal with the fact that all that I had ever done was make the IDiots face them for what the ID perps told the IDiots about them.  I told Nyikos that all he needed to do was to apply the Top Six to his space alien ID ploy in order to figure out why IDiots like Kalk could not deal with them.  Nyikos did, and had to resort to god-like aliens that could be responsible for the Big Bang, and fine tuning.  He even needed multiple different aliens or one with god-like powers to manipulate life on this planet for billions of years.   It turned out that all Nyikos had ever been using the space aliens for was to support his religious beliefs.  That is all the ID scam was, for the other IDiots on TO.
The ID scam may deal with the limits of our scientific understanding, but that is only so that they can deny the science that is already understood.  Kalk and Bill still may post, and they might comment on if they ever want the Top Six god-of-the-gaps best evidences for the ID scam to be filled with an intelligent designer.  Paul Nelson (one of the original ID perps) has never wanted there to be any legitimate ID science involving the Top Six.  He has always claimed that they were only working on producing the ID science, but they hadn't yet accomplished anything.  Just imagine what Nelson would have done if Behe had ever demonstrated that some designer was responsible for designing the flagellum over a billion years ago or evolving the blood clotting and adaptive immune system around half a billion years ago.  Nelson is one of the young earth Biblical literalist ID perps, and for him the designer of Behe's IC systems is not his Biblical designer.  The designer of the Top Six gaps isn't the Biblical designer for old earth creationists like Kalk and Bill because the ID perps told them their logical order of occurrence in this reality, and that order is not Biblical even for many old earth creationists.  Sewell had to drop out the Cambrian explosion and Behe's flagellum from the Top Six and place the others out of order in order to continue to use the Top Six for denial purposes.  He had no intention of improving our scientific understanding of the best evidence for the ID scam.
